Free Signature Maker — Transparent PNG, Draw Type or Upload

You often need a signature image before you place it on a PDF: a transparent PNG for slides, email, or Sign PDF. PdfPeaks Signature Maker is that standalone pad. Draw with the same SignaturePad library Sign PDF uses, type a name in a script face on a transparent canvas, or upload a photo of ink on paper and run the existing paper-cutout endpoint (luminance threshold) so white stock drops out. Download a PNG with a transparent background. This page does not stamp a PDF — that remains Sign PDF. It is not a cryptographic certificate signature. Nothing is stored after the cutout temp file expires.

How It Works

Choose Draw, Type, or Upload. Adjust cutout threshold on photos. Download PNG. Optionally open Sign PDF to place it.

  • Step 1 — Mode: Draw on the pad, type a name, or upload PNG/JPG of ink on paper.
  • Step 2 — Cutout (upload): Threshold keeps darker ink and drops paper. Same job as Sign PDF.
  • Step 3 — Download: Transparent PNG. Draw and type never leave this tab except the file you save.
  • Step 4 — Optional: Open Sign PDF to place the image on a document.

Security & Privacy

Draw and type stay in the browser. Uploaded photos use the Sign PDF cutout job (temporary files, then deleted). How we handle your files →

Common Use Cases

Professionals, students, and everyday users rely on this tool for tasks such as:

  • Email / slides: Transparent PNG over a coloured background.
  • Paper photo: White paper, even light, then raise threshold if flecks remain.
  • Typed stand-in: A script face when you have no scan yet.
  • On a PDF: Use Sign PDF after you have the PNG.
  • Not eIDAS/PAdES: Visual ink only, not a digital certificate.

Tips for Best Results

Prefer Sign PDF when the file is already a PDF and you only need stamps. This maker is for the image itself.
